Holy cow, it was such a good week! So good that I am absolutely pooped and so ready to rest today. It was a week where I sure was glad to be a missionary! Well, I always am but especially this week!
HIGHLIGHT
1. 4th of July! Happy America Day! Anyone who knows me knows I love the 4th, I love my country, and I love fireworks haha. We did a lot of eating mostly and we got to play with sparklers so that's fun!2. We did service for a less active and it was really great! I've missed doing service, we don't do as much of that here as we do in New Bloomfield. So we helped clean and do yard work. Shout out to the Booth Family, it was not as intense as your house
3. So we had been teaching Adrielles husband Thiago, but things were just not making sense to him and he didn't believe he was ready. Well, he had a lesson with the elders and they just clicked with him and it made sense all of the sudden! And he asked to be baptized this week! How crazy is that! I'm proud to say I had a part in that haha.
4. THE BEDNARS. This week we had a meeting with them to get to know them and it was absolutely amazing. I love them soooo much already and am excited to serve with them. President Bednar is hilarious and so passionate and it's contagious! Plus, he said Uncle David Bednar would be coming to visit soon
5 . We had a lesson with a former investigator who kind of had some Bible bashing and aggressive feelings toward what we believe and it started to get heated. But I just felt prompted to share the Prince of Peace with her and turn it back to Christ. The Spirit was so strong and even though we have different views, I felt so much love for her as a child of God and I hope we made a difference.
6. Okay getting down to the Real highlight. ADRIELLE AND THIAGO GOT BAPTIZED!! At 5 in the morning we got up and drug ourselves to the church to fill the font and get everything ready. Let me tell you, planning a baptism is stressful stuff! But it was all worth it to see the joy ok their faces as they came out of the water. I am so proud of them and happy for them! Every tear I've cried, every door slammed in my face, every blistered heel and dropped investigators was worth it to find two people who are ready to let Christ and his love into their lives. It was amazing! I have no words! Well thats all I have! Thank you so much for your prayers and support, it means everything! I will talk to ya next week!
