This has been a pretty awesome week! And I hope all of your weeks went well as well. We had a lot of good stuff happen and a ton of miracles, so let's get right into it!
HIGHLIGHTS
1. Theresa has been in contact with missionaries for over 30 years. You'd think she'd know everything about the church? Nope! This week we taught her the restoration and it was all new to her! As we talked to her about Joseph Smith and prophets she just was blown away at how much it lined up with what she believed! She had so many questions about Tithing and temples and the book of mormon after wards. She said, "I've been praying to know if the book of mormon is true and I know it is. I've been a Mormon my whole life and didn't know it!" we invited her to be baptized and she said YES!!! GOD IS GOOD!!2. On Wednesday we had the chance to go to a little music recital with a few of our members. Afterwards, we sat eating refreshments with about 5 women, and all of them had ties to missionaries in one way or another. One lady though, had never heard of us. She asked us lots of questions about our faith and the missionary work we do. We offered her a BOM, but she kindly declined. So we gave her our card and invited her to call us or come to church. This is only half of the highlight. I'll tell the rest later haha
3. We watcher a movie called "the testaments" with the Reids. It's a movie about the time before Jesus christ comes to the America's in the Book of Mormon. At the end when christ came not a eye in the whole room was dry! As we talked to them about how they liked it they started to tell us about how much their lives have been blessed since they've begun meeting with us and doing what we ask them to. Things that never were possible before are now possible to them. It was just so cool to hear them talk about the obvious blessings that have came as they've lived the gospel!
4. We had FIVE INVESTIGATORS AT CHURCH. Yep, you read that right! Theresa came to church for the first time EVER! And she brought her boyfriend with her! It was incredible! Also, the woman we talked to at the recital came to church AND brought her husband! We also had a non member son of a member come! It was an absolutely PERFECT service for them all to come and afterwards they all told us how much they loved it. Sheri, the woman from the recital, practically pleaded with us to have a book of mormon and was so grateful. It was the best Sunday of my mission. Guys, my heart is so full. This really is the Lords work, and that only skims the top of the barrel of ways God blessed us this week. I know that he is mindful of us and is cheering us on in our righteous endeavors. I hope we all can turn to him more, no matter what our circumstances, with a grateful heart and a willingness to do what he wants us to. I know he will bless us even more as we do so.
I love you all so much!
