It's been a pretty good week. Sister Nilsson and I have had a lot of great things happen this week and we have been working hard! I'm so grateful for her, I swear she is training me, not the other way around! Haha
HIGHLIGHTS
1. This week we had the warren sisters stay at our apartment and I was able to talk to sister Anderson about all my favorite people in the world. I sure miss Warren but I love Erie too!2. On Thursday I went to Pittsburgh for the trainers meeting. It was SO good! I learned so much and it was so good to have president teach us how we could be better examples to our trainees and to missionaries around us. I am so grateful for his inspired words. They gave me a greater desire to be more obedient and to do all I do out of love for the Lord and his children.
3. I got to drive home from Pittsburgh with cute Sister Adams, who just came from New Bloomfield, my first area! Once again, it was so good to get updates about people who are so near and dear to my heart. Tender mercy!
4. Thursday night we got a call that Christina, one of our investigators, had a family member rushed to the hospital. So we ran to her aide to comfort and support her. Instead of turning Into the hospitals main parking lot, I turned into a gated one that wouldn't let us back out unless we had a special token to put into its machine. So, instead of us helping Christina, she came and bailed us out from the parking lot. I must have face-palmed a million times thinking about it this week lol.
5. We went to try a potential who wasn't home, so we decided to tract the whole street. No one was home, or interested, and so we started walking to another place. A girl stopped us on our way and said she has been looking for a new church and wanted us to meet with her. She gave us all of her info and we set up an appointment. HOLY MIRACLE!
6. One day, literally everything cancelled. We had drove to a restaurant for a meeting we were having with our ward mission leader, that we didn't know had cancelled. As we were walking out of the restaurant, a man stopped us. Years ago he had met with missionaries and gone to church, but lost contact with them, but still wanted to know more. We got all of his contact info and will meet this week as well. GOD IS GOOD!
7. This Sunday, GLENDA CAME TO CHURCH! Which means I had to translate all of church into ASL. It was a terrifying experience, but by the power of God I was able to stay calm and remember all I have learned. I was able to translate a baby blessing and that was so powerful. Definitely a highlight I am so sorry this has been so long, but this week has been great. We have seen many miracles come from diligence and obedience. I am so luck to be the lords servant in Pennsylvania! Until next week!
That's probably true...
Taco salads for the win!
