"Mom! It's Those Weird Girls Again!" April 30, 2018

Hey Yinz!
How are ya? I hope you all had a great week! Ours sure didn't pan out the way we thought it would, but it's all good! God has a plan! I officially began my last 6 weeks as a missionary, so pray for me! Haha I'm sure going to need them! Also, CONGRATS MARQUISE ON YOUR CUTE LITTLE BABY! Kayden is adorable!
 HIGHLIGHTS
 1. Conor is a good highlight! So Conor is great. He's a less active we've been working with who hasnt came to church since he was 8, so he has little to know knowledge of the church. We read through 3 Nephi 11 from the book of mormon, and also talked about how Christ is the good Shepherd and leaves the 99 for the 1. We testified to Conor that he was the 1 and God cared a lot about him. It was just super cool because he expressed some blessings and changes that have come into his life as he has been meeting with us. It was just cool to hear that the gospel truly does change people and help them have a desire to be better!
 2. My favorite thing this week was the funny things people say when they think you can't hear them behind the door! We got, "Mom! It's Those Weird Girls Again!", "It's the Jehovah Witness! Turn off the lights!", "That's the third time this week they've knocked!" and my all time favorite, "Baby! Hide the weed it's the Mormons!" It's honestly pretty amusing. People are so funny!
 3. We met a guy named Bryce this week and that was a huge highlight! He is a friend of another investigator we have and just happened to be at her house when we visited. He is just so prepared! He recently lost a friend and has been pondering what the purpose of this life is. We testified that God has a plan for all of our lives and that he'd see his friend again. We shared about the Book of Mormon, and what it teaches us about Jesus Christ. He said, "I've studied a lot of different religions. But this, this I hope is true." I just wanted to scream, "YES IT IS!" haha
 4. My greatest joy in missionary work is teaching someone to pray. There is nothing more special than helping someone communicate with their Father In Heaven for the first time. This week we helped Bryce pray, and the spirit was so strong as he prayed. You could fell God's love for him fill the room. It was just so cool!
 5. On Sunday we had a fireside that was completely centered on Jesus Christ and why we need Him. 22 missionaries came together and sang, "I Stand All Amazed." Yinz, I LOVE music! And I love the spirit that is felt as we sing or play instruments. I love this verse that says, "3. I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt! Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget? No, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat, Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet!" I know that Christ loved us enough to die for us, and because of Him we can receive forgiveness from all of our sins, and help through any hardship we go through. I love you all so much, and I hope you have a great week!
