The Darry Companionship

Another Monday is here again! I swear it comes faster and faster every week. Time flies when you are having fun! We had a lot of really awesome highs and quite a few lows as well, but it's all part of the plan! This week we definitely saw tender mercies from the Lord. Thanks to all who have sent me emails and letters throughout the week, I've really appreciated it and hearing from all of you.

HIGHLIGHTS

1. Tuesday we went to Mifflintown, but first we got hecka lost. Then we found out Billy forgot to mention that the main entrance to their town is shut down. So we had to make a big loop around to the other side of town, good bye miles! We had a really awesome lesson with a less active and her daughter, Chassity, who is not baptized. She was very interested and we are going to start teaching her this week and see where it goes! We also met a few other less actives who were very receptive we plan on visiting again.

2. Elder Krentz during the time in our District Meeting where we share highlights, pulled out a scarf he has been knitting the past few weeks that he finally finished. It might be the funniest thing that has ever happened to me haha!

3. Trinity! We felt impressed to share a lesson on missionary work and challenge her to share a Book of Mormon with someone. We did some role plays and she had someone in mind to share it with! In Elder Williamsons words, "If anything can change a heart, it's that book."

4. Jenny's lesson! We shared a lesson about the Book of Mormon and why it's important and she was very excited to read it! She even started reading and flipping through it during our lesson! We before had thought she wasn't extremely interested but maybe that's not the case! So yay!

5. We went and did a ton of weeding with the Booths again and it was awesome! We aren't quite finished with our project, but when we are I will send pictures! The Booths are doing better, for all those who have asked. I know your prayers are really appreciated!

6. We had a lesson with the Gallucci's and invited them to start having family prayer every night. Sister Gallucci ran out of the room and came back with a chart she had made to help them remember to keep commitments we have extended like reading their scriptures, attending church, and prayer! They are very excited to start praying and are really setting a goal to go to the temple! Yah them!

7. We went and cooked with my Adopted mother, Sister Clouse! Its so nice to go and just cook our own meal with her, its therapeutic!

8. President Johnson and Sister Johnson came to our ward this Sunday to teach the 3rd Hour lesson! I just love them so much and the kindness they show all the missionaries. I will miss them dearly when they leave! Don't know how much they will miss New Bloomfield, since during the Potluck after church Sis Johnson tried to sit next to one of our older kids and she yelled at her and told her she couldn't sit next to her. Only in New Bloomfield!

9. We had a really awesome missionary activity at the Potluck where former missionaries bore their testimonies of missionary work and showed pictures, and we had Booths about temple work and family history, and we had 6 people put their testimonies in Books of Mormons for us to hand out!

Just for one time only, I have a....

LOWLIGHT

KAYLA IS LEAVING! Sister Reisinger is leaving on Tuesday for her mission in Boise, Idaho and I will miss her so much! She is more than ready to go on a mission and I know she will do great. I love Kayla and know she will do awesome. Serve with Honor, Sister Reisinger!

I want you all to know that I love you and I know this church is true without a doubt in my heart! It has changed my life and I am so honored and grateful to be serving the people on Pennsylvania. I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves us, and wants nothing more than for us to return to live with him and his father. Thank you all so much for your love and support, and I will talk to you next week!
